REGISTERING IN THE PARISH
New to St. Peter's Parish? Please take the time to fill out a parish registration form.
Registration forms can be found on a table at the back of the church. You can place the completed form in the collection basket or drop it off at the parish centre during the week. THE PARISH CENTRE The parish centre is the white building facing Queen Street next to St. Peter's School and houses the parish's offices and meeting rooms. Office hours are 9 am till noon and 1 pm to 4:15 pm, Monday through Friday. The phone number is 392-3767. Unless attending a meeting downstairs, you should enter the parish centre through the door across from the church; this door leads directly into the reception area. MASS There are four Sunday Masses: Saturday at 5 pm, and Sunday at 9 am, 11 am, and 5 pm. The Saturday vigil usually draws a primarily adult congregation. Worshippers raise their voices under the guidance of some very talented leaders of song, sometimes supported by other parish musicians. Sunday's 9 am Mass is particularly well attended by those with young families because the Children's Liturgy of the Word is available to children aged 3 to 7 at this time. This junior liturgy takes place in the parish centre, beginning at 8:55 am and ending around 9:20 am when the children are brought into the church to join their families. Appropriately, the junior choir provides the music for the 9 am Mass. The senior choir leads the music at the 11 am Mass. The youth choir provides music at Sunday's 5 pm Mass. Anyone interested in practising these upbeat, energetic songs are invited to do so at Foundations of Friendship and Faith Youth Centre from 3:45 to 4:30 pm on Sunday. The Youth Centre is located at 70 King Street near Division, not far from St. Peter's Church. During the week, Mass is celebrated once daily at:
9:00 am on Wednesdays
4:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
The Chapel of Mary, Mother of the Divine Mercy opened on November 23rd, 2003, the Feast of Christ the King. All are invited to visit the chapel and spend some quiet time with Jesus.
The chapel is located at the back of the parish centre; enter from the parking lot. Parking is available near the door facing Queen Street.
The door is unlocked between 9 am and 4 pm on weekdays and a code is available for entry at other times.
